Install Clipwise from the Chrome Web Store

Create a free Notion internal integration token
You generate it yourself in your own Notion settings and paste it into Clipwise. That token is what gives the extension access — there’s no Clipwise account to sign up for.

Share your target database with the integration
In Notion, give your integration access to the database you want to clip into. Then pick it in Clipwise as your default.

Why does Clipwise need a Notion integration token?
Because there is no Clipwise backend. Instead of routing your clips through a server we control, the extension talks to api.notion.com directly using a free internal integration token that you create in your own Notion settings. It’s an extra step during setup, and it’s the reason your content never touches our infrastructure.
Is Clipwise free?
Yes. Version 1.0 is free. The Notion integration token is free too.
What data do you collect about me?
None. There is no Clipwise server, so there is nowhere for your data to go. Your token and settings stay in your browser, and clipped content goes from your browser straight to Notion’s API. The developer receives no user data.
The official clipper saves the wrong content on a site I read daily. Will Clipwise do better?
Usually, because it tries four different things: a site-specific adapter if one exists, Readability, a dedicated table extractor, and a link-density filter that drops navigation-heavy blocks. On a page that defeats all four, you can select the text you want and clip only that — which always works.
What happens if my connection drops mid-clip?
The already-extracted content is stored in an offline queue and retried with exponential backoff until it lands. You don’t get an error that throws the clip away.
Can I use more than one Notion workspace?
Yes. Connect multiple accounts and switch between them; the target workspace is visible before you save, so clips don’t end up somewhere you didn’t intend.
Does it keep tables and code blocks?
Yes — tables stay as Notion tables, code blocks keep their language, and figure captions and inline formatting are preserved.
Can I edit the page title and properties before it saves?
